About Paula
Paula joined the National Drought Mitigation Center staff in December 2022. She is currently a graduate student studying the microbial ecology of Nebraska's rivers and streams. Previously, she studied the ecology of invasive aquatic plants in Montana. Paula spent summers in high school near the Red Desert in Wyoming where she gained an appreciation for arid and semi-arid ecosystems. In her spare time, she is rarely found without one of her various animals.
