The National Drought Mitigation Center, in partnership with the USDA's Risk Management Agency and the Idaho Department of Water Resources, held a workshop on VegDRI and VegOut on July 27, 2010 in Boise, Idaho. The Drought Monitor DSS and Drought Atlas were also introduced at this workshop.
Workshops participants provided valuable feedback on how they would be most likely to use the products, the ease of using and navigating the interface, and other specific aspects that will help guide further development.
One point that came up repeatedly was that it would be useful to incorporate reservoir supplies, snowpack, and streamflow predictions for the western United States.
