USDA Support for Enhancements to the U.S. Drought Monitor 2021-2022

Since the National Drought Mitigation Center's founding in 1995, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has been one of the center's main supporters and collaborators. In fall 2021, the NDMC agreed to an additional one-year, $1.275 million cooperative agreement with the USDA's Office of the Chief Economist (OCE) that will address drought monitoring and much more through a series of projects.
