The San Francisquito Creek that flows through Stanford University at Palo Alto, March 2, 2008. February and March normally produce the peak runoff period for this creek, according to USGS records at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ca/nwis/uv?11164500, and the white arrow in the photo shows what the water level should be on this date. This photo was taken 500 feet downstream from the University Avenue bridge, and Palo Alto has a creek-cam at http://www.city.palo-alto.ca.us/earlywarning/creekmonitor.html about 1/2 mile farther downstream at the US Highway 101 crossing.
