Decadal Variability Workshops Span the Missouri River Basin

Vikram Mehta, CRCES, discussed prospects for long-term drought forecasts with Elwynn Taylor of Iowa State University at a workshop in Kansas City in April.

The NDMC, the Center for Research on the Changing Earth System (CRCES), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hosted a second listening session in Helena, Montana, June 24-25, to gather input from stakeholders about the need for decadal climate information. This is part of a project sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Sectoral Applications Research.
