The National Drought Mitigation Center, in partnership with the USDA's Risk Management Agency and the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources worked together to sponsor a workshop on VegDRI and VegOut. The goal of the workshop was to confer with agricultural producers, extension agents, and organization representatives on the tools that were being developed at the NDMC. An overview of the NDMC's Ranch Plan was also given at the session.
Workshops participants provided valuable feedback on how they would be most likely to use the products, the ease of using and navigating the interface, and other specific aspects that will help guide further development in California.
